(I've recently renamed the channel to Outback Nerd!)
It is super easy to add experience points and levels to your ARPG in Godot 4. In this video we walk through the simple setup, including adding an update to our UI to show how much exp we currently have and what our level is.
Whether you're advancing your game development skills or exploring the artistic inspirations behind classic games, this lesson equips an easy and effective way to add sound effects to your player attack.
Remember, the methods used in our game code and design are just one approach, there may be much better ways of achieving the same result, but this is the manner I am familiar with.
If you see something that can be done more simply and understandably, please let me know because my desire is to make these tutorials as easy to follow as possible.
