Gathering of Eagles at Watts Bridge in August 2015. This was my first visit to the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield, near Toogoolawah in Queensland Australia. It sure won't be my last, what a great day out it was. Being able to see such wonderful aircraft, both flying and up close on the ground, was just fantastic.
Unfortunately there was a crash on the day when a 3/4 scale Spitfire was taking off. The pilot was OK, but the Spit got bent up a bit. A sad thing to see, but it could have been much worse.
I hope you enjoy the video. To find out more about the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield click on the link; http://www.wattsbridge.com.au/
Note: This video does not include any soundtrack music, because it doesn't need it. Turn up the volume and enjoy the sounds of the aircraft, especially that big radial in the Trojan....awesome!
