A collaborative effort, spearheaded by University College London (UCL), the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDIHub), and IIT Madras, aims to empower early-stage innovators and entrepreneurs developing affordable assistive technologies for people with disabilities and the elderly in India and beyond.

Attvaran seeks to accelerate startup growth by bringing together all key players in the assistive technology ecosystem. This includes customers, experts with lived experience of disability, business mentors, advisors, technical experts, and investors, all working to address technical, social, market, and business challenges.

The launch event showcased a dynamic ecosystem dedicated to fostering the growth and success of startups in the disability sector. Attendees were treated to inspiring keynote lectures promoting the mainstreaming of assistive technologies and participated in three insightful panel discussions focusing on startup journeys, the role of NGOs in scaling innovations, and investment opportunities within this crucial sector.
