MayLula literally means “From the Shertukpen Mountains”, the band comes from the Rhododendron Valley of Shertukpen tribe, West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh. The band was formed in 2018. Their songs are a blend of Shertukpen Folk and western music. The band drive their inspirations from local folklores, poems and western influences like The Beatles, Beach Boys, Queen and Dylan.
