We had an awesome day on new years eve, the weather was perfect ..maybe a little too perfect. The sun was pretty strong and all of us got sun burns! we got off in Turi and missed our ride back..but luckily the same tour bus came around and hour later and we got back. After that we got hungry and decided to try the mexican restaurant nearby and it turned out to be good decision. You can find it right on calle larga in front of the panama hat museum! the waiters were super friendly and made sure we were having a good time. you can also order cocktails there for a good price. everything was affordable and you only need $5 for 4 tacos and a drink. You can also see the street are beginning to be blocked because of the street vendors and parades that occur right after 6pm. this caused a lot of traffic and bus delays so be aware if you want to come to Cuenca at this time! luckily we live nearby so we just walked back home and started our new years eve dinner!
