Mal Waldron's "Soul Eyes" by Tom Van Overberghe
On December 2, 2022, it's been 20 years since Mal Waldron passed away in Brussels. To the best of my ability I recorded his timelessly beautiful composition "Soul Eyes" on guitar and edited the music with footage and outtakes from my film "A Portrait of Mal Waldron" ( • A Portrait Of Mal Waldron (1997) ) into an audiovisual tribute.
