Compact External Power Solution For The Lumix GH5 or Most DSLRs
Here is a solution I found to get more battery power on longer shoots. I wanted a compact solution that I could use handheld if necessary. I set this up for my Lumix GH5 but the concept will work for most DSLRs.

Here are the links for the items that I mention in the video I removed the extension cable link from amazon because there were some incompatibility issues that were pointed out in the comments and replaced it with a link from B&H that has the correct extension cable.
My friend Frederic Cervini pointed out in the comments that the extension cable that I use has a pin in the female end that compromises the integrity of the connection to the dummy battery that I show in the video and that I originally linked below. That cable was from amazon. Do not order that cable. I found the correct cable and provided the link below. Per Frederic there is a dummy battery from smallrig that works better with the smallrig battery adapter plate. Here is the link to that dummy battery here:
