Using WhisperAI for AV Transcriptions
We were really impressed when we saw Will present how UNT was using WhisperAI at the Texas Conference for Digital Libraries, and invited him to present a webinar for us.
Advancements in affordable artificial intelligence and text-processing applications have enabled digital libraries to generate high-quality text derivatives of audio-visual materials. These derivatives include captions, transcripts, subtitles, translations, and more. This allows digital libraries to reach a larger audience with these materials. William Hicks will discuss the UNT digital libraries' recent work in this field, comparing the quality of outputs, costs compared to other creation methods, resource requirements, and sharing their key findings.
