Kaiweets Wire Ferrule Crimping Tool Kit (KDC01) Review
Terminating stranded wires with ferrule sleeves gives flexible wires the properties of a solid core wire at the terminal connection. This prevents the risks that are inherent to loose wire ends of stranded wires such as the risk of wire strands getting into the wrong places and causing short circuiting.
To effectively install a ferrule sleeve you need special pliers known as ferrule crimping pliers. These pliers squeeze the ferrules onto the wire end to form a solid cold weld joint. There are numerous wire crimpers in the market with different capabilities and at different price points.
In this video, I review the kaiweets wire ferrule crimping tool kit (KDC01). It is one of the inexpensive ferrule crimpers you can add to your tools box for automotive wiring projects and small electrical/electronics wiring tasks. I have added it to my tool kit for electronics wiring.
