Hi everyone and welcome back to a new video!
I couldn’t resist picking up this medium-sized leg vise from a local farm. It was of course pretty dirty and rusty, but I had a ton of fun cleaning this tool up!
I really needed a proper rigid vise inside my shop and my new homemade workbench was the perfect place for it to stay.
I just love how simple all these old tools were made, makes it easy to keep using them for centuries!

What do you think of this beauty?
And how many vises do you own?? (I feel like I’m getting addicted)
Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for watching!

Please tell me what you think about this video and where I can improve.

As always - if you've got any questions, ask them! I'm always happy to help out other people as I gained most of my knowledge from YouTube and asking many questions to professionals.

Have a nice day and keep grinding!

About me: My name is Tim and I'm a 21 year old student. I got into knifemaking about two years ago, by watching videos similar to this one. Over the years, I gained some knowledge and last year I built this belt grinder to finally make my own knives. I do sell custom orders, mostly of kitchen knives, if you're interested, follow me on Instagram. My goal is to make inspirational and educating, as well as entertaining videos. I gained almost all my knowledge by watching YouTube videos, so now I want to give something back. If you’ve got a question, feel free to write me a comment or start a conversation with me via my Instagram @spira_knives

Future plans: I want to make educational as well as inspirational and entertaining videos. The topics will be setting up my workshop and mostly making knives.
A few ideas that I will post soon:
̶a̶̶ ̶̶f̶̶u̶̶n̶̶k̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶b̶̶a̶̶b̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶c̶̶l̶̶e̶̶a̶̶v̶̶e̶̶r̶ (lost all files before I rendered the video)
forging a drawknife for woodworking
forging a herb chopper
building a gas forge (DONE!:D)
how I etch my logo
-forging a touchmark stamp (DONE)

All my builds and machines are low cost but good quality. I’m a beginner as well as a student at University, so I want to get the best tools for the least amount of money. If you are starting your new hobby, consider watching me set up my little workshop.
