Ferrari launched the new Roma in 2019 and the sports car received multiple design awards for its all-new design approach that reinterprets the classic lines of a Gran Turismo car. And it's almost common knowledge that to make a good-looking car better, one slashes the roof off which is what Ferrari did by introducing the Roma Spider. We at The Cornea Impression got our hands on the new Roma Spider which features a soft top roof, almost the same powertrain and power figures of over 600 hp 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 as the standard Roma mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Roma Spider’s slashed roof further adds extra weight for chassis strengthening. But does the no-roof look fairly compensate for the car’s added weight? And importantly, is the Roma Spider still a Ferrari that one would like to drive? Shivaum Punjabi of The Cornea Impression answers.
