Can Big Turbo Bagged Camaro Autocross?
ARSCCA has their first south Arkansas even in Hope. It was also my first time running the car in an autocross event in 7 years. With many changes and upgrades to the car over the years, the brakes and tire size which haven't changed were a big disadvantage. But the biggest disadvantage that I didn't think about till later was with having a loose torque converter in the th400. I knew that having a 3 speed would be to my disadvantage, but with the converter it provided 0 engine braking off of throttle. This leaves me with the dilemma of currently needing a looser converter to build boost while launching in drag racing but will for sure hurt the car even more in autocross. With 2.73 rear gears, the only real fix that I can think of to help in both areas, but hurt with cruising would be to change to a 3.73 rear. What would you do?
