How is the garden looking in Spring 2024?
We started bringing this garden back from the dead in 2021. That meant ripping out a whole load of invasive plants to allow the garden to thrive. In the past a few folks have mentioned we shouldn’t have been so hard with the initial cut-back but they genuinely don’t have a clue about the sacrifices you have to make on a project like this. We ripped out brambles, bindweed, snowberries, ivy and many other invasive plants. We dug out thousands of roots by hand. The garden was infested with rats since it had been left ‘to nature’ for so long. We’re now slowly seeing this garden come back to life. Enjoy our Spring 2024 with a brief peek of summer too!
