The valve stem seals are dry and the engine smokes when cold.
If you see blue smoke from the exhaust for a few seconds when you start the engine in the morning, it might be time to replace the valve stem seals. You might also smell oil getting into the engine's combustion chamber, which will cause the oil level to drop proportionally.
