Jamming with the Super 6 and PolyBrute
Apparently I can't get enough lush evolving stereo pads, because now the PolyBrute has a friend! The Super6 and the PolyBrute cover much of the same territory, but the Super6 nudges you in slightly different sonic directions with its quirky panel layout and pre-routed modulations. I've found it to be much less intuitive to learn and program, but very rewarding of live experimentation with its huge sweet spots. In particular, it blurs the boundaries between oscillators, lfos, and envelopes in interesting ways.
In this little Cm sequence, a sawtooth lfo mapped to the vcf and vca creates the pulsing rhythm, which is slightly phase offset to create the binaural effect. Lovely bright textures are created with filter fm (first with DDS2 to VCF, then by moving the lfo into audio rates).
