Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live in the Hamptons, the playground of the rich and famous? In this video, I will take you on a tour of the most expensive and luxurious estate in the Hamptons, and reveal some shocking facts and secrets that you won’t believe!
The estate consists of two separate residences on over four acres of land, with over 400 feet of beach front, two custom Gunite pools, and a sunken all-weather tennis court. The main residence was built in 1900 and has 19 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, and 22,000 square feet of living space. It was designed by architect Stanford White, who also designed the Washington Square Arch and the original Madison Square Garden. The second residence was built in 2001 by architect and decorator Francois Cartroux, who matched the style and proportions of the main house. It has a home theater, a billiards room, a gym, and a sauna.
The estate was sold on August 16, 2023 for an undisclosed amount. It was previously listed for sale at $150,000,000, making it one of the most expensive properties in the Hamptons and in the United States. The estate is located on Gin Lane, which is one of the most exclusive and desirable addresses in the Hamptons. It is home to many celebrities, billionaires, and socialites, such as Calvin Klein, David Koch, and Tory Burch.
