500mb Chart Hand Analysis - Timelapse
Analyzing a surface or upper air chart by hand is still very important in meteorology. It is a skill all meteorologists and enthusiasts should learn. A hand analysis lets you see the fine details of the atmosphere that a computer analysis might miss.
I have wanted to learn how to do a hand analysis for a long time. A few years ago I finally worked up the courage to just sit down and do one. I would read @ForecastLab teachings on analysis over and over again. Until finally one day it clicked! Only a few months ago I learned how to analyze a 500mb chart. I am in no way an expert at this. I still have so much to learn.
This is my first video like this. Hopefully if I do more the quality will get better. Let me know what you think.
