Ferruccio was born the son of grape farmers in Renazzo, Italy. Despite not being born into money, Ferruccio had dreams of becoming very successful from a young age. In his childhood, he would sneak off to tinker with the tractors and machines on the farm.
His passion for mechanics and his knowledge for farming led him to enter the business of manufacturing agriculture equipment. WWII put a stop to his plans when he became a prisoner of war after serving in the Italian air-force. The young man persevered through this dark time and went on to become the founder of Lamborghini Trattori, a tractor company that thrived when the Italian agriculture industry was revived post WWII.
His talents and his stubbornness lead him to create an empire and design some of the finest cars ever made.
This is the story of how a prisoner of war went on to become one of the biggest names in the automobile industry.
