Dell M4800 + GTX 1650 Graphics Mod Attempt
As the title says, I put a GPU from 2019 into a laptop from 2013!
It had a Quadro K1100M before which made gaming unplayable compared to the impressive 4th gen i7-4800mq.
So I thought I'd use my driver modding knowledge and got myself an mxm-a GTX 1650. Completely new thermal paste and pads and it can run games like in the video while staying chill enough.
UPDATE (6-16-2024) - I ended up pulling out the GTX 1650 for a Quadro M2200. I feel like my GTX 1650 is either not working properly or I need an uber specific driver.
UPDATE (5-15-2026) - The M2200 is still working incredible but I would love to revisit swapping out a more powerful MXM GPU in this thing! I even have a custom copper heatsink for the M4800
