Much has been written about the similarities between the ancient people of Japan, the Ainu, and the nomads of Eurasia and the Turks, in particular. Almost any article about this ancient ethnic group begins with the fact that the Ainu are one of the most mysterious peoples in the world. The only indisputable fact is that the Ainu appeared on the Japanese islands long before the Japanese who currently live in this territory. And among some researchers, there is an assumption about the existence of a connection between the Ainu and the Turks. Is this really so? We will analyze it in today's issue of "Okasts".
