Whitty was made by a doomsday cult[2] and was incubated in a facility where he developed. He was also constantly being injected with unknown samples of DNA along with growing in a spherical-shaped caged, he was given a bomb-like appearance.

The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games.[4] The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s
