Recorded using Hooke binaural mics/headset and an Android device. My favorite part is the dampening effect the snow has on sound. It is not silence, but there is definitely a quietude walking on me snow at 3am -it was recorded outside, of course, and sometimes it sounds like it was recorded in a padded room.
This video contains a collection of sound walks recorded over 2021.
It represents a couple things for me - the loss I have felt over losing my eyesight, and the death of my Father.
My dad passed away while everyone else was lighting fireworks of into the sky.
The air air I breathe feels different now that my Dad is gone. There is no other way to describe it for me.
Please use headphones to experiences this sound piece as it was intended, with binaural audio.
Video description: Shifting in time and season but always a first person walking view of the environment. Alternating from freshly fallen snow, to lush summer air and birdsong, then to July fourth, i happened to be recording fireworks at the same time he passed away. There is minimal editing, but more than i usually do.
