Modern humans stand between nature and technology. They themselves originate from nature and are therefore part of it. However, over the last millennia, the intimate connection between both has been slowly dissolved. Beginning with the start of agriculture and at the latest since in- dustrialization, humans have been torn from their natural context and alienated from nature, and this alienation has been progressing ever since. Digitization, especially since the end of the 20th century, represents the latest catalyst of this development.

Humanity today stands at a crossroads. Where will the future lead? The technology created by humans themselves stands to large parts in conflict with nature: Nature is increasingly being de- stroyed by technology at the expense of the rapidly advancing interconnectedness of the world, and soon there seems to be no way out for humanity. On the other hand, it is precisely the spirit of innovation of the human beings themselves which represents the last salvation and is not better symbolized by anything than modern technology.

The picture series "NATURE - HUMANS - TECHNOLOGY" shows people in nature, who seek the intensive contact with this and reflect on the original relationship. The images are supplemented by the aspect of technology, which is visualized by computer algorithms (Creative Coding & AI models) on the images in different ways. This complements or disturbs, extends or limits the relationship between man and nature.
