MO'OREA
This song was written 4 years ago when I was at the airport leaving the magical island of Tahiti. I had just been on vacation with some girlfriends, and we also spent some time on the beautiful nearby island of Mo'orea, where we went swimming with the black tip reef sharks and stingrays in the lagoon. I could literally feel the magic of the pristine islands.
The song was inspired by fun ocean adventures that I experienced while visiting the islands of Tahiti and Mo'orea. I went bodyboarding at one of the gnarliest waves in the world (Teahupoo, AKA Chopo). The boat captain who took us out to the break whistled at me when there was a big set coming out the back. The wave had my name on it, and I had to go. I was also able to enjoy riding waves in magical Tiahura. I kept hearing about the wave at Ha’apiti although I never made it there (yet).
This song is a tribute to that feeling of grace, beauty and magic that exists when we open our hearts to allow in the medicine of pure nature.
