So, this scene originally had a lot of scrapped content. For example, Ethan was supposed to show up again to protect Eddy from Elly. Then, TIO was supposed to show Eddy the future, which included the camp capture with the SafePlace group, as well as Zee and Zuzy breaking in. Additionally, the desert scene was set in the south ruins as mentioned in the book notes at the end of the chapter. I aimed to focus on revealing what the chapter concealed from us and weave a complete story. However, I chose fast pacing for this movie because the film contained abundant content, and quick pacing seemed to be the best approach. 😌
