Descriptive statistics and SQL are combined in this presentation. A univariate analysis is the examination of one variable at a time. Its major purpose is to describe the variable and patterns in the data. The three major characteristics of a single variable that we consider are distribution, central tendency, and dispersion. The statistics we demonstrate in SQL are ranges of values, frequency distribution, mean, median, mode, standard deviation as well as the common measures of sum, min, max, and count.
