Veracruz, Ver.- La Torre Arista, que es el nombre original del edificio, empezó su construcción en el 2019 presuntamente con permisos del gobierno municipal priista que encabezó Ramón Poo Gil.
Con todo y la polémica que se generó por la construcción de la llamada Torre Centro, ésta ya fue terminada y hoy en día ofrece lujosos departamentos con valor superior a los dos millones de pesos.
En octubre del 2021, con la obra ya avanzada, el presidente de la república Andrés Manuel López Obrador criticó la construcción del edificio ubicado en las calles de Mariano Arista entre la avenida Xicohtencatl y el callejón José María Pena a unos pasos de la Macroplaza.
