[Rolling Sky / Edit] - Lovefool💗
The story of how I got this soundtrack is really... really weird.
As some of you may know, I watch a show on YouTube called Helluva Boss, best show I've ever watched full stop, absolutely amazing in every single way. I'm also in a bunch of Helluva Boss-related servers, and in one of them I decided that I was gonna torture everyone with the most cringe, excruciatingly painful Helluva videos possible, and I stumbled across a YT Shorts channel called Rocky Rakoon. I wish I hadn't.
And I came across this... absolute... abomination of a video. By the way, every single one of his videos are like this, this was far from an exception:

I don't know how any sane person could sit down and enjoy watching this, let alone animate it from start to finish. It's so painful to watch that it's almost like an electric shock button - you feel compelled to watch it again just to psychologically torture yourself.
And on one of these rewatches, for absolutely no reason at all I decided to take the clip and slow the video down, just to see what the video sounded like. And then I listened to it and was like.. damn that sounds good actually. But Rocky didn't credit the music. I later found another equally terrible short ( • Loona, Mr. Wolf, Diane Foxington Valentine... ) with the normal version, but he didn't credit it there either, nor could I find it using Shazam or Spotify.
After a long and desperate search for the music, I found out it was a remix of a 1996 song, Lovefool, by The Cardigans: • The Cardigans - Lovefool (Official Music V... But that wasn't good enough. I needed the remix version.
A week goes by and I randomly get recommended this animation video by BeautySnake, and it FINALLY had a link so the soundtrack. I also wanna say this animation looks absolutely gorgeous. It's one of the most vibrant, creative, and immersive videos I've ever watched, and I immediately gave BeautySnake a sub and no joke went to go watch EVERY SINGLE ONE of their other videos, and they did not disappoint.

Without BeautySnake, and I hate to admit it, without Rocky Rakoon, I never would've known about this song. I don't really have a thing for Anime/uwu/furry-sounding music, but this is one of my top favorite songs of the year, and probably my favorite song I've ever turned into a Rolling Sky edit. Thank you to both.

Yea I did everything. The routes, the textures, the theme changes, the level optimization, all of it. But I will give huge credit to sqdl for creating the Spritemaker, which I used to make every single texture, as well as sending me the UV mapping of some obstacles so that I knew how to optimize the colors of individual objects. Credit also goes to TCT for giving me the custom flip tile textures which I used for a couple seconds at the end, which were made for his recent FRIENDS edit.

My first solo edit since more than a year. The last one I made was New Year's Eve, on the last day of 2021. Ever since, I've been working on collabs, tweaking levels, and 2.0s when it comes to edits.
There were 2 solo edits last year that I never finished: BEAST and Sunset 16. I canceled BEAST because the song was too long and it was a halloween level, but halloween had already passed. And Sunset 16 was just a horribly designed level, so I gave up trying to fix it.
This level is very different to the style I've done before, so I'm not sure how people will respond. But I hope you all enjoyed it!
