A single strand yarn, spun in the same soft wool as DROPS Snow, DROPS Polaris is specially good for interior projects as well as outerwear, like hats, scarves and ponchos. A great yarn for those who like to work with thick needles, DROPS Polaris knits up very quickly and with the same gauge as DROPS Snow held double.
DROPS Polaris contains mixed colours, which means the wool is manufactured by carding the colours together before spinning, which gives it a mixed effect. This yarn is also made from unprocessed wool fibers, which means that they are only washed and not exposed to any chemical treatment prior to the dyeing. This highlights the fibers’ natural properties, providing also a better shape and texture qualities.

This yarn has an Oeko-Tex® certification (certificate number 25.3.0099), Standard 100, Class I from the INNOVATEXT TEXTILE ENGINEERING AND TESTING, HUNGARY. This means that is has been tested for harmful substances and is considered safe in human-ecological terms. Class I is the highest level, and it means the yarn is suitable for baby articles (ages 0-3).
