What to Expect: UVB Minimal Erythema Dose (MED) Testing
This is the eighth video in our 'What to Expect' series. The video shows the process of light sensitivity testing using a narrowband ultraviolet-B light source. This test is undertaken to investigate light sensitivity but more commonly is done to determine the starting dose in ultraviolet phototherapy. This is one of the tests performed at the Scottish Photobiology Unit in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, Scotland.
