When I first learned of the trademark claim against Cogito Ergo Meeple and their game Meeple Inc., I was shocked. Since then, I have learned more about trademarks then I ever thought I would need and certainly more than I ever wanted. Most of it is the kind of thing only lawyers understand, but it has lead me to an important question.
