A superhero action comedy (based on the popular comic book series) that promotes women’s empowerment and also blows apart gender stereotypes. It has a unique aesthetic based on traditional Bangladeshi art.
Shabnam Sharif, the protagonist of the series, writes fluff pieces for a lifestyle magazine, even though she dreams about becoming a respected journalist. One day, she accidentally receives powers like super strength and the power of flight and becomes the costumed superhero: Ms. Shabash. She uses her newfound abilities to help people in need. While she is usually cheered on by the public, she also receives crude comments about her spandex costume (which is more about function over style since it is aerodynamic); is bombarded with pesky marriage proposals; and a host of other problems that most male superheroes never have to endure.
