VerticalGeo (http://verticalgeo.com/) presents this Quantum GIS (QGIS) training video Digitizing Line Features. This is a short training video that walks a user through the process of creating a line shapefile and then digitizing a portion of Route 66 using QGIS. QGIS is a free open source very capable mapping software program. QGIS is similar to ESRI's ArcGIS, only it is free to download. This video was created using QGIS version 2.18 Las Palmas.
