Black Ops 6 Point System is Broken!

The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies point system is a major topic of discussion in the Zombies community, and for good reason—it’s completely broken! In this video, we’ll break down how the old point system worked in previous games like Black Ops 1, Black Ops 2, and Black Ops 3, and why it was such an essential part of the Zombies experience. From earning points with knife kills, headshots, and point-grinding guns like the MP40 and Thompson, to the strategy that defined how we played, the classic point system made Zombies fun, rewarding, and balanced.
But now, in Black Ops 6, the new point system has removed the strategy and depth we loved. The focus is entirely on kills rather than damage, meaning teamwork and tactical play are no longer rewarded. The old strategy of using weaker guns to grind points for doors, perks, and Pack-a-Punch has been replaced with a system that prioritizes fast-killing meta weapons. In this video, I’ll explain how this change has made weaker weapons almost useless and why this shift has taken away so much of what made Zombies great.
We’ll also dive into the controversial reason behind this change, involving Kevin Drew, a lead developer on Black Ops 6 Zombies. According to him, the change was inspired by personal experiences with his brother, who was bullied for not understanding the old system. While the intent was to make the game more inclusive, the result has alienated longtime fans who loved the depth and strategy of the classic Zombies mode.

Despite my frustrations, I still love Black Ops 6. The new maps, gameplay mechanics, and innovations are amazing. However, the Zombies point system needs to go back to its roots. Treyarch, please bring back the old point system so we can fully enjoy the mode we all know and love.
