Exporting SVG Files With Layers In Illustrator
When exporting an SVG file and then re-opening that, main layers are gone and turned into groups. Why is that? We're going to take a look at file structure, Inkscape, and the SVG file format.
This is one of the reasons why SVG is not suitable as your work file format.
