New album produced by Guts recorded between Ghana & Sheffield (UK).

Lyrics Noni Onako
Noni onako kaawie daa
Be onaake oofee ohe

(verse)
Earth
Lover give me just one more day
Give me one more sleep
Give me stick and drum
See me become lordly
See me become the blessed
god of every unborn beat
My babies enter
bubbling at one forty
My babies come in hard bawling at the leprosy
They carry Trumps burning up in effigy
They twat the calabash stirring up the energy
The lineage Virginia Woolf
It’s Dylan and it’s Chester P
Mos Def etcetera
I’m scrolling thru for Kendrick’s Verse
In the dark from where my strength emerged
I am an ever spinning circle in concentric squares
Every day I kneel in prayer to whatever’s there
I’ve broken out
Present to the moment now
I let it breathe
Depression turned my blood into a tepid sea
The creatures swimming in it fucking with me mentally
But now I see that there is nothing in it all except for me
And me is a trumpet
there is nothing in at all
Earth lover take me blow a muddy little melody
I’ll dance
Me and my babies shocking out to jungle breaks
Lover give me one more day
There is beauty here

Mindless timeless living on in silence
Assigning aligning reaching for the trident
Guidance highness keep the vision dialing
Find me , hide me in your mind am vibing

K.O.G launches his third album on Pura Vida Sounds Heavenly Sweetness imprint, "DON'T TAKE MY SOUL," pulsating with sonic emotions and an anthemic pilgrimage into Ghana. Harnessing both diasporic influences from his Leeds-based band and a return to Ghana to reconnect with his childhood band, K.O.G enchants our ears once again with exhilarating stories of his ancestors and community, vulnerability, and signature brilliance in the melodic fusion of traditional Ghanaian folk rhythms and global electronic influences. This album serves as a sonic portal into contemporary highlife and sub-Saharan folk.

This vibrant piece features notable artists such as Pat Thomas, dubbed the Golden Voice of Africa, Ogunskele, one of the pioneers of hiplife and a founding member of 2Toff, afrobeats ghanaian prodigee Fameye, and Dizraeli, a prestigious and acclaimed rapper, songwriter, and musical maverick. The album is a journey of roots, self-discovery, and learning to live and embrace vulnerability. It celebrates Ghanaian roots and their extensions into multiculturalism, fatherhood, and the preservation of core human values.
