xp4l: easily record multichannel audio stream
How easy is to record multichannel stream in #Ableton with xp?
It takes really 2 clicks.
1- go in the xp4l.engine device, record interface.
2- click file, and name your recordings. Then click record.
During recording, a red light on the monitor indicates a recording is ongoing.
3- once it's done, you can playback the file through the player on the same interface.
This is a great functionality, as you can just improvised stuff and suddenly want to record it right away.
The files recorded here will take the properties of your project configuration: if you play on a 4 speakers/channel set up, then it will record a 4 channels wave file. If you play on a 32 channels, it will record a 32 channels file, and so on. Also, in ambisonics configuration (hoa), you can record an encoded version at the same time.
