As for my Hartnell blurb, I've gotten comments saying that they kicked him off the show for not being able to remember his lines. Actually, even though he suffered from arteriosclerosis, which was what affected his ability to say his lines, he also had poor relations with the new production team after Verity Lambert left the show. He ultimately decided to leave in 1966.
