Hurricane Miami: My Preparation and Tips | How to Properly Prepare Your Boat for Milton
In this video, I talk about preparing for the approaching hurricane in Sunny Isles. First, I point out that schools have canceled classes due to the expected rain and possible flooding, and children are staying home. I notice that many neighbors are still in town despite warnings.
Next, I share my thoughts on boat preparation. I recently became a boat owner and watched a YouTube video on how to properly prepare for a hurricane. I show what I did to protect my boat: I removed the windows, removed the roof, and tied the boat down with special ropes to keep it from moving.
I point out the importance of properly tensioning the ropes so the boat can move slightly without being damaged by the tension. I also point out how the neighbors are preparing, mentioning that many of them are also Russian-speaking.
I head to the dock to show how other boat owners are protecting their vessels. The wind is starting to pick up, and I notice there are still people on the beach enjoying the weather despite the approaching storm. Overall, I'm trying to convey an optimistic mood and confidence that we are prepared for the elements.
