This is the C8 Corvette key fob and changing the battery when your dash says, "REPLACE BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY". Here are the steps to get your key fob back up and running.
1: Press the button on the side and slide out the cut mechanical key.
2: Use that mechanical key to press firmly in the slot to open up the back of the fob.
3: Remove back that is now popped up
4: Peel back the silicone cover to access the weak / dead 2450 battery
5: Use your fingernail to remove the old battery. Be careful not to touch the circuit board.
6: Replace with new battery positive side facing up.
7: Place silicon back over the battery.
8: Squeeze the backing back into place
9: Insert mechanical key
10: Thank yourself for saving a boat load of cash at the dealerhsip!
