This is Part 2 of a video series demonstrating how to use the Scene State system in Unreal Engine 5.6's Motion Design tools to create an interactive, real-time score bar lower thirds display for a broadcast or livestream.
The first, introductory video in this series is available here:
• Introducing Scene State for Motion Design ...
Part 3 Video: • Broadcast Score Bar with Unreal Engine Mot...
Part 4 Video: • Broadcast Score Bar with Unreal Engine Mot...
This video introduces the overall score bar design, and starts the project from a new empty level and gets as far as setting up the initial Scene State functionality to show and hide the bar.
Future videos will explore more about how to build, animate and control the graphical elements of this project using scene state.
The information in this video assumes the viewer already has a basic understanding of Unreal Engine Motion Design features and Blueprints in Unreal Engine. I've previously created introductory lab courses on these topics for Epic, and these are now available free, along with their project files, on Epic's Dev Community Site. You can find these on by Dev Community page here: https://dev.epicgames.com/community/p...
