Build a $2,500 Home Studio That Sounds Like $10,000
Is making music about the gear? No. Do you need fancy gear to make a hit song? Obviously not. But everyone needs to start somewhere, and I think I've built up two different options that will allow you to take your music production to that next level up and future proof your setup for at least the next few years. Investing in the front end of your audio (mics preamps and interfaces) and your monitors and headphones are honestly the best investment if you're just starting out, or if you're looking to upgrade from your AT2020 or your focusrite 2i2 (Nothing wrong with those btw).
