How to use the MIDI functionality of Melda effects in Logic Audio 🤔
How to use the MIDI features of meldaproduction effects plugins in Logic.
Some of the plugins for Melda include this feature to make life simpler when performing functions of the instruments through a keyboard or other MIDI controll but the implementation is a bit strange.
In this case I used MRhythmizer because it makes heavy utilization of keys on MINI instruments for fast switching of patterns from the interface. This applies to all the effect plugins though.
How to do it:
• Setup a Software Instrument
• Look in the track pane insert section for AU MIDI Controlled Effects and choose the desired effect that way
• Once you open the effect, you then choose a channel that has the sound you want to effect through the Side-Chain menu at top right of the effects interface
• Now you should be able to press keys on the controller and see the switching of patterns occur
They list in the manual how to set this system up in multiple DAW, in this instance I am talking about Logic's way of doing it.
