Before anyone asks how I edit so quickly :) let me tell you the story of this little video right here:
I started this video a while ago. How long? Don't know, but it was a while ago. I was convinced it would be a quick simple edit - because that was what I was wanting. It was NOT simple for some reason. It took me forever to get it looking the way I wanted. Anyways finally I rendered it.
The rendered version felt... incomplete. So I did something I rarely do since upgrading my editor - I re-edited it! I moved some clips around, added some voiceovers and re-rendered the video.
I HATED the re-rendered version! It made me cringe so badly each time I watched it. (I had added voiceovers to the kiss scene and I don't know if it was having the voiceovers in general or the voiceovers I chose that it so cringe in my mind, but it was awful!)
So I edited it... AGAIN. I removed the offending voiceovers and then let it sit there in the drafts for a while so it could think about what it had done!! Well, I was bored the other day and decided to mess around with adding my new effects that I discovered while making the No Light video. (I definitely went overboard at times and it looks super inconsistent, so clearly I have some kinks to work out.) Anyways, I figured I should go ahead and render it for a THIRD time or else it was just going to sit in my drafts forever.
Here is the final product. The coloring is not great - I have to work on it. But the edit itself is exactly how I wanted it! I still feel like the ending needed voiceovers of some sort, but I never could figure out what ones to use, so it's fine the way it is. :)
