Fur matts & knots have to be cut or shaved out. What often happens is the areas that would usually be left a little longer to put shape into the dog need to be cut out because of knots or matts. If you want great shape and style in your dog you need to be maintaining it very regularly at home and taking it to a professional groomer very regular. More regularly with a professional groomer if you don’t maintain the coat at home. Matts and knots are often hidden so well at skin level I don’t even notice the extent of them myself until I’m in mid grooming!
