Kruunajaiskantaatti - Dedicated to coronation of Tsar Nicholas II
This piece was composed by Jean Sibelius and written by Paavo Cajander in 1896 in honour of the crowning of the new Tsar; Nikolai II. Finland at that time was autonomous under russian rule and hopes were high as the new tsar was crowned, but it turned out to be a very difficult time for Finland. Subsequently this song was quickly forgotten.
