今回はバートンレーン作曲の"Too Late Now"という曲を弾いてみました。もともとウェスモンゴメリーの演奏やベンウェブスターとジョーザヴィヌルの双頭アルバム"SOUL MATES"という作品でこの曲を知り、ずっと気になっていました。師匠である岡安芳明さんのソロアルバム"Ballade For Night"の冒頭でもこの曲をやっていて感激しました。先日、生徒さんがこの曲をやりたいということで改めてじっくり聴いているうちに録音してみようという気分になりました。あまり一般的には馴染みは薄いかもしれませんが、隠れた名曲だと思います。ぜひお聴きください♪
さて、今年も残すところあと1ヶ月。思い返すと今年もおかげさまで充実した演奏活動が出来ました。いつも応援してくださる皆様に感謝です。いつもありがとうございます。

Thank you for visiting the Youtube channel of jazz guitarist Jun Satsuma. It has been a long time since I uploaded a video. How are you all?
This time I played a piece called "Too Late Now" composed by Burton Lane. I have been interested in this song since I heard Wes Montgomery's performance and Ben Webster and Joe Zawinul's album "SOUL MATES". I was very impressed to see my teacher Yoshiaki Okayasu-san play this song at the beginning of his solo album "Ballade For Night". The other day, one of my students wanted to play this song, and after listening to it carefully again, I felt like recording it. It may not be familiar to the general public, but I think it is a hidden masterpiece. Please listen to it.
Well, there is only one month left in this year. Looking back, I am grateful to everyone who has supported us this year. I would like to thank everyone who has always supported us. Thank you for all your support.
