2022 - "Stupidfreak"
Another year, another wrap up video! To be totally honest, I lost motivation for this video a bunch of times. I challenged myself to use my "real" cameras as much as I could, I was constantly trying to 1-up my 2021 video, I kept debating on the perfect song and perfect theme, the perfect editing workflow... I sucked all the fun out of it by making it a "production" rather than the fun candid time capsules my first videos were.
But when I looked back at the footage, I remembered why I love making these so much -- seeing all these memories and putting them together just feels so good and makes me so happy. I started these videos as a way to just document my life and my friends and to share it with the people I care about (even if I stress about making sure to include everyone... what a problem to have loool). If you made an impact on my 2022, I think you'd know that by now. ;)
2022 felt very "end of an era" for me in many ways, so I wanted this video to feel like a finale of sorts, a tribute to everyone who's been in my life the past few years. I'm so grateful for everyone who's played a part in it. 2022 brought a lot of change, and I know 2023 will bring even more, but man, I'm excited for whatever happens next!
