Video 3 - Encouraging student interaction in online teaching and learning

Please ensure that you have viewed Video 1 in this series before watching this video, or any of the other videos in the series.

In this video, we consider the sharing of group/class ideas through using the whiteboard facility available on online platforms.

A note on the series: The intention of this set of videos is to demonstrate dialogic approaches to the use of platforms for online teaching and learning; in this case we use Zoom, but the ideas are equally applicable to other platforms. These are not exemplars, and we don’t pretend to be experts; they are simply examples based on our work with PGCE students at Cambridge, and hopefully you might find that they contain something of value for your own work.

These videos are inspired by the work of Neil Mercer, Lyn Dawes and the Thinking Together team - http://thinkingtogether.educ.cam.ac.uk/
The group that features in the videos is Amelia Shepherd (teacher), Amaris Keith (teacher), Kate Noble (educator – Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge), Nicola Wallis (educator – Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge), Paul Warwick (senior lecturer, Cambridge University Faculty of Education).
