FDD is Focus to Detector Distance - optimizing it can help achieve better x-ray image quality.
An adjustable FDD (focus to detector distance) is a high-impact improvement to optimize image quality. Depending on the settings the image resolution and photon dose rate can be adapted to the requirements. The FDD directly impacts the sharpness and contrast of the X-ray image. By adjusting the FDD, radiographers can control the magnification of the image. Our PRO and ECO standard systems have two variable FDD options: Manual adjustment for the highest cost-effectivity and motorized adjustment for the highest comfort.
